A Case of Prenatal Diagnosis of Esophagesal Atresia

Abstract
|
|
|
Polyhydramniso is presenting feature in the fetal gastrintestinal obstruction. In obstetrical sonography, the absence of fluid in fetal gastrointestinal tract with polyhydraminos suggests the diagnosis of esophageal atresia.
Congenital heart disease in frequently found in association with esophageal atresia. We have experienced a case of esophageal atresia which was detected before birth by ultrasonography and was proved to be accompanied by distal tracheoesophageal
fistula
and congenital heart disease and report that with a brief review of the literature.
